Mini ME Classes

Mini ME classes are designed for primary-aged kids, to help them get stronger, enjoy movement, reduce injury, develop physical resilience, move confidently and perform optimally. We focus on developing foundation movement competencies to build strong, stable and mobile bodies

Personalised ME Classes

Our signature small group classes, ME Pilates and Strengthen ME provide you with a fully customised movement experience, where you can expect purposeful selection and instruction of exercises, tailored to meet your personal needs and movement goals. ME Pilates

A 50-minute class instructed by a Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist. You can expect a variety of exercises on a Reformer or Trapeze Pilates bed, combined with alternative equipment such as rollers, balls, bands and more. Pilates focuses on body and movement awareness, which can improve balance, posture, movement efficiency and maximise performance. We tailor your program and guide you to understand how to move your body efficiently, effectively and effortlessly.

Strengthen ME

A 45-minute weights-based class that includes on-the-spot movement analysis and guidance. You can expect a variety of exercises that may include equipment such as dumbbells, barbells, weighted balls, bands, cardio equipment or simply your bodyweight, that are adjusted to suit your abilities and needs. Strengthen ME is suitable for 12years + witha maximum of 6 per class to allow for individual programming and coaching.

To join any of our exercise services, a mandatory assessment consultation is required. During this session, expect us to sit with you and discuss your needs, concerns and goals, as well as analyse your movement competencies with the assistance of Output Sports sensor technology. Assessments allow our team to gather information about you including any pains/injuries/conditions that may affect your ability to exercise. We then take the time to help us understand your goals, gather some measurements, data and information about the way you move, and allow us to formulate a routine of exercises that are safe, suitable and effective for you to achieve your movement goals. We also integrate the use of Output sensors, to gather accurate and relevant measurements that we can use to track your progress. The major difference is the exercise space/equipment available. Strengthen ME is delivered in our state-of-the-art gym. Exercises are therefore with a variety of weights such as dumbbells, barbells, trap bar, sleds, weighted balls and more. Strengthen ME aims to improve your overall strength and endurance to allow you to complete your daily activities, rehab from and prevent injuries as well as be strong to enjoy a life of healthy physical activity.

ME Pilates is delivered in our equipment Pilates studio. Here we have 5 Reformer beds (including high and low heights) as well as 2x trapeze beds. We utilise these beds alongside small equipment such as balls, bands, rollers and light weights to challenge the core and work on body awareness and movement with freedom and efficiency. 

Personalised Packages are gym and Pilates classes where programs are tailored individually to you – essentially, you get a tailor-made program, delivered to you in a small group to enjoy the social aspects of group exercise at the same time. These classes can be paid-as-you-go or class packs can be purchased for bulk discounts (available in 10 and 20 sessions)

Generalised Subscriptions are direct debit subscriptions to have access to any of our generalised ME classes. They are 40-minute classes where the workout routine has been specifically developed for common needs and key target areas for each class type. These are best sutied to people familiar and confident with exercise, but want a group of people at a similar stage of life to workout with!

Gym-based and Pilates exercises can be taught by a wide variety of people. Movement Essentials has a team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Strength & Conditioning Coaches who have additional training and qualifications in Pilates equipment instruction and Strength & Conditioning coaching. Rest assured, you are being taught by experienced and competent instructors. Where instructors are building their skillset and experience, we have a mentoring program that supports their instruction to ensure you continue to be delivered your customised program. Movement Essentials invests in thorough assessment procedures, that allow us to customise your program for every personalised class that you attend. We work in-between your class attendance, alongside our team of movement experts, to review, tweak and progress your program as you improve week to week. Expect your instructor to therefore be detailed in their intsructions, diligent in analysising how you are doing each exercise and providing ongoing feedback throughout your entire session.
